Istanbul Baklava began with something already familiar in our home. Celal grew up in Türkiye, where baklava was a beloved part of celebrations, visits, and time shared around the table. After we married, it became one of those treats rarely missing from our own kitchen.

We began sharing our baklava with friends, family, and at community gatherings. People would seek us out afterward just to tell us how much they loved it—and those moments inspired us to share it more widely.

When we made Austin home, we wanted to bring that same feeling here: baklava made fresh, served generously, and crafted with care. Every batch is prepared by hand using delicate phyllo, real butter, premium pistachios, and a carefully balanced syrup. Nothing frozen. Nothing mass-produced.
